Our parish traces its roots back to the founding of two neighbouring mission churches, later united as one family of faith. Over the decades, generations of parishioners have built, rebuilt, and cared for this sacred space, carrying forward a legacy of worship and service.
The original St Stephen's mission chapel is founded, serving a small farming community.
St Ignatius of Loyola mission church is established nearby under the Jesuit fathers.
The present stone church building is consecrated, replacing the earlier wooden structures.
The two parishes formally unite to form one combined parish community.
The parish hall is built to support catechism classes and community outreach programmes.
A new roof restoration and renovation fund is launched to preserve the church for future generations.
